Everyone has been ignoring the elephant in the room in this presidential election. The two issues that have received the biggest play, terrorism and the economy, are only two legs to the three legged stool. The third leg, that has been suspiciously absent in the entire contest, but ironically, it is what really divides the country, far more than these first two issues, is abortion.

First of all, you will be hard pressed to find anyone who wants another terrorist attack on the country unless they are in a sleeper cell planning that attack. And the only ones wanting the economy to fail . . . besides the ones who benefit politically when it does, are the same ones who would plan an attack on the US. No, I am not calling the Democrats terrorists. Even with my artistic abiitlies, I couldn’t draw a connect-the-dot picture that would create that image.

The third issue I mentioned though, abortion, is the lynch pen to the eroding unity in this country as much as slavery was over 150 years ago. So divisive was that issue that many states decided to leave a union that didn’t give them the right to choose. Sound familiar? And, so divisive and controversial that an entire political party, had as its origins, the fight against slavery and the emancipation of all people. Founded in 1854, that was the Republican party. Sound familiar?

So isn’t it odd, that through the years, the party that was established on individual liberty and freedom from bondage in everything from its opposition to slavery to its support of the equal voting rights for all races, and women, to the civil rights act in the 1960s, that it has been revised to look like the party that really did oppose all these movements . . .the Democrat party. But stranger than that is the move to paint pro-life people as the ones who are trying to restrict individual rights, when the purpose is to not only to save the lives of unborn children, but to protect innocent women from the bondage of the emotional and physical scars of abortion that are never addressed by the party that claims they support women’s rights.

Why is this THE issue in the presidential race of 2004 when it has not been that important in races before? Because before this, the nation was not quite as evenly divided as now, and pro-life supporters were perceived and portrayed as fringe evildoers placing restrictions and controls on women, their bodies, their choices, their lives.  But now, pro-life and pro-death forces have chosen sides and the teams are equal in number.

The voices of the left that profited from the industry of death were not only funded and financed, but were vocally supported by almost every news organ in the nation, aided by academia, Hollywood, and the women’s movement that boasted loud annoying voices but tiny little numbers. But as women, who were told their rights were being protected, were led into the abortuariums by the hundreds of thousands, leaving their hearts behind, their emotions in turmoil, and their lives scarred forever, got older, all that changed. Many realized their one chance at motherhood had been stolen from them by people who did not tell them the devastating consequences of such a terminal decision. Others, when finally bringing a child to full term lamented the incredible opportunity they passed up having that brother or sister delight in their new pride and joy. Others resented the men who so arrogantly and ignorantly announced that they were in full support of a woman’s right to be mutilated, humiliated and abused by the act of abortion and decided they were clueless and could never vote for such an obvious dolt. It is suspicious that so many liberal thinking men are anxious for women to have the right to kill the product of their irresponsible behavior toward them. No skin off their teeth.

So, after 40 million abortions, the vast majority of these women, who do see themselves as victims of a cruel lie, are now not only vehemently pro-life, but they see that as the ONLY issue of interest for them in this election. All the men who were complicit in decisions to kill their offspring are equally as vocal and passionate in their desire to silence the nightmares and right an incredible injustice they perpetrated against their own child. And now, their children, treasured above all, have been taught that all life is precious and they in turn have taught their children for over 32 years the same hard, truthful lesson.

This is not to say that terrorism and the economy are not equally as important, but ironically, the candidate who supports all life, is also concerned about the safety of the living, and the basic right they all have to keep more of their income. He finds it hard, philosophically to separate freedom on one level from freedom on all levels. That is a principled statesman who bases all his decisions on absolutes and values based on a tried and true belief system that helped guide the men and women who founded this nation.

The other candidate has no such compass to determine the path of rightness, no matter how many churches he speaks in or how many times he quotes the Bible to try and win a few votes from those who understand that it is inconsistent to say you support the teachings of Jesus Christ, and support the evil of abortion. Honest people know that talk is cheap, and if it is not backed up by positive actions and votes, then it is also hallow.

So the tightness of the race is due to a division in the country over the very basic issue of human rights, dignity and . . .existence. And, as the Republicans in 1854 realized they must take a stand for what is right in their struggle to end slavery, today, they have as the corner stone of their platform the support of life for the unborn while the Democrats proudly announce their support of abortion, up until the point of birth of a viable, healthy, fellow citizen.

The arguments of body counts in war fall like empty bullets as they shoot holes in their own inconsistent and hypocritical rationales for every stance that contradicts the previous one. Their concern for the rich receiving tax cuts, when it is a fact that every single taxpayer received one, no matter how small their income, shows that they are not interested in running on a platform of truth, but a platform that continues to divide and destroy the nation.

So, let’s face the elephant and agree . . . if you are pro-life, and that is all you agree with President Bush on, then you have no choice but vote for him, unless you want to see the carnage continue. If you are pro-abortion, you have to see that this issue is death to our nation, much as slavery was, and understand that the Republican party’s first and most important purpose is to protect the rights of all citizens. And ironically, the elephant in the room . . . the obvious choice of people who treasure individual rights and liberties . . . is also the symbol of the Republican party. It can’t be more obvious than that, and the choice . . . literally, is yours.

So, Are you for 86? What an interesting name for a pill that causes death. It almost seems to be a cruel irony for women, who once again will be the political guinea pigs of the social engineers. Since 86 is the numerical symbol for death, the question each woman must ask herself as she takes a convenient exit from an irresponsible decision is . . . are you for death? But we really can’t be too hard on women who are sold yet one more lie by an industry determined to play God with life and remake the world in their humanist image. Women have been lied to about the abortion issue for over 25 years and millions bare the scars of an agenda to rid the world of unwanted kids, protect the environment, and promote free sex without responsibility. The only problem is, they forgot that a human being’s life and emotions are tied to each one of those questionable goals. And now, women, once again bear the burden alone of a decision made by two.

The fact is RU486 is going to put more responsibility back on the woman because she will learn very quickly that a few minutes of physical pleasure is not worth the misery and possible death she will suffer as a result of failing to practice what the government has spent millions teaching kids . . . safe sex. And for all the men and women who engage in sex without fear of consequences . . . what becomes of that act for them as they age? As they want to have children and find they can’t because they sacrificed their immortality on the alter of convenience and desire? What would happen in this nation if suddenly there were no more pregnancies? There were no more births? How many years would it take for the god-makers to realize they don’t control destiny and that there truly is sanctity in human life. Our male congressmen . . . .and candidates for higher office, smugly congratulate themselves that they are giving a woman yet one more option to destroy her life, her relationships and her emotional stability. But what if they realized one day . . . that choice really wasn’t theirs to give and God held the souls of each one of these little babies in heaven until they were treasured on earth? What would happen to the pro-choice lobby, the abortion clinics, they abortion pill manufacturers and distributors, manufacturers of baby products and food, ob-gyns, public schools, children’s books, movies, dollhouses, little shoes? There would be no need for any of these reminders that children were expendable and ordered like pizza and disposed of like tissue paper. Because, by our actions as a nation, and now the authorization of this new abortion pill, we are saying that life is not sacred, and we really don’t want the burden of children.

God hears these prayers, sees these actions and many times gives us what we think we want . . . when we don’t really know what that is. But there are always . . . always . . . consequences for what we hope for, what we work for, and what we ask for. And God says and demonstrates repeatedly . . . He won’t be mocked.

It is so interesting to hear the supporters of abortion using the tired old coat hanger argument as a reason to keep abortion legal.

And in spite of the millions of dollars that have been spent on sex education in public schools, more girls are getting pregnant than ever before. Abortion has become a type of birth control even though it can render women infertile and even cause death.

Now, in a radical effort to take every control off of abortionists, California has introduced a bill which will protect unlicenced abortionists who injure or kill the mother. The bill would permit unsupervised non-physicians to perform abortions.

It weakens statutes that allow for the prosecution of abortion-providers when they jeopardize the health and safety of their patients. This is when 57% of Americans view abortion as murder, 72% believe abortion should be illegal after the second trimester, and only 43% support the Roe v. Wade decision.

Eighty percent feel girls under 18 should get parental consent before having an abortion.

Why are these statistics radically changing? Because the millions of women who have been exploited by the lie of abortion are now speaking out before the back alley coat hanger abortion not only becomes common place, and legal, but it will result in twice as many deaths as it now does . . . not only will the baby die, but the mother as well, and there will be no liability on the part of these legally protected butchers.

California State Senate Shows disdain for Supporters of “back alley” abortions . . . and No Liability on Patient

A sad truth is that women who seek abortions are looked on with disdain by abortionists because it assuages their guilt of knowing they are committing murder. They blame the women for her lack of self-control and they see her as less than a person. For them to use unsterile tools and unsafe conditions validates their lack of respect for her. They actually are expressing a type of hatred for women, by scarring her with a life of pain and remorse. And now because of SB370 in California, that power is increased. This disdain can result in the death of one of these young women in trouble, and the state will turn a blind eye because by supporting this bill, also show that women are nothing more than chattel and don’t deserve the full protection of the law. They are acknowledging that what she is doing is wrong but not protecting her safety. But this carnage will stop when women start saying “no”, and stop allowing themselves to be lied to and deceived by everyone from the man who uses them, to the abortionist who defiles them, to the elected representative who turns a blind eye to their suffering, to the court which sanctions all of these activities as being a choice she has somehow made. To Choose What — Anything She Wants?

I was happy to hear in Al Gore’s acceptance speech at the Democrat National Convention that he reaffirmed his commitment to a woman’s right to choose.

That must mean he supports her right to choose the best school for her kids and get her hard-earned tax dollars back, in the form of vouchers, to pay for it.

It must mean he supports a woman’s right to choose to keep and bear arms to protect herself and her family.

It must mean he supports a woman’s right to choose to have children even though she has been rendered infertile by a botched abortion.

It must mean he supports a woman’s right to choose to raise her child with values and a base of moral absolutes that any civilized society embraces. And the right to choose to do this without being labeled with pejoratives like religious-right, homophobic, intolerant, and extremist.

So I applaud Al Gore for acknowledging, before the nation, that he supports a woman’s right to choose . .. not just to kill her unborn child . . . but to nurture, educate, and support those children who are living. I am sure that is what he meant . . . because politicians can’t afford to be called hypocrites in an election year. This is Nina May for the Renaissance Women.

A man in Florida was convicted of killing his dog because it kept trying to mate with other male dogs. But ironically as that one dog was being killed, so were 50,000 human babies and the abortionists continue to murder humans with the full protection of the law.

This man is convicted of killing a dog he thinks is abnormal. But the implications are enormous.

The gay community keeps insisting that they are the way they are because of nature . .. because of genetics. We know that many people who choose abortions do it for many reasons other than birth control. We know they actually can select the sex of their child, or test, in the womb other genetic traits… including a “gay” gene, now that the genome has been unraveled.

So the big question here is… if a man can be convicted of killing a “gay” dog… can a woman be convicted of killing a “gay” baby in utero? And if a man can be convicted of killing a gay dog… can he be convicted of killing a straight dog.

And if that is the case, can a woman be convicted of killing a straight baby in utero? It would be wonderful to think that all human beings are at least as valued as dogs no matter what their genetic makeup.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that partial birth abortion is murder… you would think it would suffice to be a Supreme Court Justice.

I saw a transformation from someone being adamant on the issue of abortion to quickly back peddling from it once they had a few facts.

They had never heard of the term “partial birth abortion”… or that the Supreme Court had ruled that it was OK to butcher little babies who had been manipulated so the head was the only part still in the birth canal before the doctor sucked its brains out.

She was strongly pro-choice just minutes before this description… and rapidly melted in disgust as she heard of the procedure.

This is what is happening to the pro-choice advocates around the country. They are learning of the gruesome reality of infanticide, where a baby has already been carried in a woman’s womb for almost nine months.

No one is saying she has to raise the child or even look at it. And for every abortion in America… there is a loving family waiting to adopt.

It is too bad this woman who immediately understood partial birth abortion to be murder, was not sitting on the Supreme Court when the procedure was described. So much for the brilliant minds of our times.

Choice Doesn’t Just Mean Death

While listening to NPR I heard an ad for an organization that “proudly supports a woman’s right to reproductive choice.” That of course is a euphemism for abortion.

But what if a woman has done everything she can to have a baby… as millions of women do … and nothing works? Would this organization help her fulfill her choice to have a baby?

She should be very careful though when approaching this abortuary, to ask that question, because according to the Supreme Court, she could be arrested and fined.

She cannot even suggest that she is for life within 100 feet of an abortion clinic, or within eight feet of a pro-choice person. So if a pro-life woman… hearing this ad, and really believing this organization supports a woman’s right to reproductive choice, went in and asked how to get pregnant… or how to possibly adopt one of these babies about to be murdered… she could be arrested.

So much for women’s rights. So much for free speech. So much for the Declaration of Independence which declares all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I guess her happiness will have to be postponed… while lives are being sacrificed for the perverted definition of liberty.

I remember celebrating the fourth of July in England, when I was sixteen years old.

Well, I couldn’t exactly celebrate it because I couldn’t find anyone in England who understood the significance of it. I sort of forgot that they lost. And unfortunately, it seems that there are millions of Americans who forget that we won.

We won the right to have control over our destinies, to express ourselves, to worship as we choose, to keep and bear arms to protect ourselves from an oppressive government, to determine who lives in our homes, who our leaders are, who we choose to govern us.

And as we see six members of a nine member panel of appointed judges not having even a semi-working knowledge of the document that guaranteed these inalienable rights, then maybe it is time to remind ourselves again. Just who are we as a nation?

We stretch the constitution to justify killing unborn and partially born children while ignoring it to allow prayer in school.

We enlarge the first amendment to allow degrading and misogynist pornography, but insist that the right to keep and bear arms is not a right reserved to the individual . .. even though it is in the Bill of Rights . . .reserved to the individual. M

aybe this July Fourth, instead of cooking hotdogs and watching firecrackers, maybe we should all read the constitution together and remember why we are celebrating this holiday.

Chuck Schumer Seems to Forget that he is a Member of the UNITED STATES Senate.

A photographer in New York was fined for assembling a group of nude people on a public street to take their picture. He won his case in court and the judge said the constitution allowed him to express himself in such a way. But if this same group had been assembled in front of an abortion clinic for a photo… nude or not… The Freedom of Clinic Entrances Act could have prevailed over their rights to free expression.

This is a law, authored by Senator Chuck Schumer that classifies citizens based on their beliefs and does not allow them the same protections and privileges as other citizens..

He is now pulling out that same dusty box of “yellow stars”, hoping to force the judicial system to pin them on pro-lifers who can’t afford to pay fines as a result of being arrested outside the abortion clinics… for just expressing their opinions and views.

Some of these arrests have resulted in costly court battles and many of the protestors have had to declare bankruptcy.

The very fair-minded, tolerant Senator Schumer feels that these people should spend time in debtors prison to pay for their sin of expressing a view on abortion that opposes his. He wants to tie his “Yellow Star of David” Amendment to the Bankruptcy Reform Act that is now in the hands of the Senate.

I wonder what group will be chosen next for disparate treatment and held accountable to a different set of laws? Will someone please get Senator Schumer a copy of the constitution and our Bill of Rights. He seems to forget he is in America.
