I can’t describe the national love-hate relationship with Donald Trump, in any other way than it reminds me of the emotional rollercoaster that a teenage girl is on during her first serious crush or romance.

So, work we me and channel your teenage girl as we analyze the Trump phenomenon as it relates to the average voter, and how it so parallels the dating experience.

So, the country is sitting in the stands of the political campaign and a group of young girls sees a new guy come in the gym and he is heading their way. They are giddy with excitement and wonder who he is, where he came from, does he go to their school now, or is he just visiting?

They watch as the 16 man team of their peers also size him up and immediately dismiss him as what . . . a dandy? An outsider? A flash in the pan who couldn’t possibly qualify to be on their team, or any other team for that matter? Yes, the guys dismiss him as irrelevant, a non player, not a factor in their goal to win that game they are about to play.

The girls on the other hand see potential. They smile sweetly as he glances up at them and, as if hit by lightening, a few get instant crushes. “Oh my gosh” . . . do the fluttery hands thing in front of the face . . . “he looked at me,” “He’s so cute, OMG, OMG, girl talk, girl talk, girl talk, yadda, yadda.”

All it took for the guys to be interested in this interloper was to see the mooney looks on the faces of their girls. “Wait, those are our girls.” Well, they didn’t mean in the existential way of domination or control, only that they have always been in the stands, cheering on the team that consisted of the same guys they have known all their lives. But still, they expect loyalty from their fans and these girls are their base after all.

But the new guy sees it differently as he flashes his dazzling smile and the girls swoon, practically falling out of the stands to meet him. And of course the new boy eats it up, loves the attention and even sees a couple of really cute ones he would like to date.

So, fast forward, he starts dating one of the popular girls who had always been the girlfriend of the BMOC, so, she was quite a catch for the new guy. The team members vicariously share the anger of the ditched BMOC and decide to jump him after class and beat him up.

But no one warned them that he was not only a street fighter but was a national champion in the Golden Gloves competition, had practiced mixed martial arts his whole life and ate guys like them for breakfast. So one by one, they would take a shot, and get smacked down by the pro of smack down. The field was dwindling as the onlookers marveled at the speed, the dexterity, and even the dirty underhanded tactics of this new boy. He was a street fighter after all. What did they expect . . . tiddlywinks?

How dare he call them names, point out their weaknesses and think that he could be on the same stage with them. Who did he think he was anyway? Well, the girls, and now the gathering crowd knew. He was a breath of fresh air from the status quo of doing what the team captains and players always said they should do. He was fearless in his attack of the establishment and brought in a new era of change to the stale air in the gym that was so desperately needed.

And, he gave the team and the school the hope they needed to see a victory over the competing schools for the National Championship.

But one of the girls who had the crush on him for his strength, and the fearless way he dealt with all the opposition, became very angry when he refused to face the tough questioning by a girl on one of the team panels. How could this be? How could their hero, who rode in on the white horse to save them all, now be caving in fear to a girl who might ask tough questions? It was especially shocking since all the other players were willing to subject themselves to her heartless, cruel, bare knuckled questioning.

So, the game against Iowa did not go well for the new kid. The team actually won without him playing in the field, and the girl with the crush, was crushed. Where was her champion? Her hero? To her, he looked like a spoiled brat who was used to getting his way. She lost respect for him and decided she was not going to date him any more, she was going back to the BMOC who was predictable, safe and would never rock her boat like this new guy did.

He gets angry and lashes out at the other team members who are left standing on the stage and an all out brawl occurs, further disgusting her with the team, the system, and the circumstances. She is heartbroken, her first crush has disappointed her and she doesn’t want to have anything to do with any of them, ever again. Period. End of story.  But, she looks out the window and sees the killler team amassing win after win and realizes, they need to hang together or they will be destroyed in the national championship playoffs. They need to choose a team captain and all work together.

And just when she was ready to wash that man right out of her hair, her brother comes in, tells her what a great guy he is and that he is throwing his support behind this new guy. She is in shock. She feels betrayed on so many levels, but then realizes she loves her brother, she trusts him and maybe he is seeing something in the new guy she never saw before.

Then before long, in the next few months, she would come home and see her brother, the new guy, lots of the other team members sitting calmly in the living room watching some sport or another. She would walk through, marvel at the transformation, and think, “Hm, he is kind of cute.”

Wow, was that tedious. But it makes a point that the nation has been dating the new guy, Donald Trump, and experiencing all the teenage angsts that go with that adventure. There is the initial crush, the validation of said crush, the over extension of expectation, the reassessing of first and second impressions and then the settling of the dust.

With Ben Carson, throwing his support behind Trump, it is the same as the protective brother, the angry team member or BMOC changing his mind about the interloping new kid. This changes the dynamics of all the relationships and forces the girls, who had the crushes and lost them, to now see the new guy through new eyes.

Ben Carson’s support of Trump is a game changer if for no other reason, he was the one who stressed continually that he felt God had called him to run and was committed to hearing that still small voice. When I suggested a while back that they all get in a room, draw straws like the apostles in their replacement of Judas, there were no lights going on that gee, maybe we should see what God thinks since we all claim we love him and have a relationship with him through Jesus.

So, the most spiritual of the whole group, the one who never stopped saying he wanted God’s Will in the whole process, is the one who is backing the new kid, the bad boy, the street fighter, the heart breaker, the newly redeemed member of the team.

Now, we just have to watch for the rest of the story to see if he and his first crush get back together, giving him enough votes to win the general election (the National Championship) against the nasty girl from the other school. Stay tuned for another exciting adventure of . . . “America’s Love Affair with Donald Trump.”

As I watched Sarah Palin give her speech endorsing Donald Trump, knowing she is going to get push back from conservative leaders, I couldn’t help but think of an experience in college.

The Dean of Women declared it mandatory for all female students to attend a speech by Betty Friedan. I was never interested in being any place without guys, and the last thing I needed was to hear from a woman who blamed all men for her problems.

Having been raised with three brothers, I knew guys were actually a lot of fun, were far more daring than the girls and their clothes were more comfortable. So, when  Betty began to trash all men as the enemy of all women, I couldn’t help but think of my brothers. They had always loved and supported me, allowed me to play soccer and basketball with them, and were thrilled that I was a better shot than all of them. They would actually brag on my groupings at the gun range.

But the line that propelled me to stand up in opposition, in the middle of her speech was, “Men have always told women what to do, now, if you listen to us . . . the feminists will move you into the right direction since we know what’s best for you … you stupid little women.” I added that last part, but that was the gist of what she was saying.

I stood, interrupted her and said, “You just told us not to let men tell us what to do, to think for ourselves, and then followed with the suggestion that we should listen to you and your movement. That is a bit of a contradiction, don’t you agree?”

The entire time I was standing and speaking in protest against this new fascism rising, the dean of women was behind me telling me to sit down and be quiet. Instead, I asked who agreed with me and left with about a third of the audience in tow. Can’t believe they still let me graduate.

It also reminded me of the time I was protesting a pro-abortion march at the Capitol in the late 70’s and these women, who were claiming to be pro-choice and for equal rights, were trying to take away my right to speak, by telling the police to arrest me. They claimed I didn’t have a permit to speak. I said I thought the Constitution was the only permit I needed. I remember a very angry woman, yelling at me that she had to raise four kids alone. I reminded her that I didn’t get her pregnant. She kept yelling.

Again, open minded, tolerant, feminists trying to tell me to sit down and shut up.  And something tells me Sarah will not be intimidated by the left or right concerning her decision to support Trump and she will not sit down and shut up either.

As a response to the feminist’s attempt at indoctrination, I formed a group called the Renaissance Women. That was In 1982 when the assumption was that all working women were feminists and all moms who stayed home were pathetic losers. I was trying to become a pathetic loser but couldn’t get pregnant so I had to continue running my very successful publishing company, while attending law school.

I hated being lumped with “them,” just because I was a professional, working outside the house so I defined women like me as “Renaissance Women,” and the name has held through the years. I discovered that there were millions like me who rejected the monolithic stereotyping of all women as though just because we have the same genitalia, we think alike, vote alike, act alike or support the same candidates.

I was invited to debate Gloria Steinem on the Phil Donahue Show . . . yes, I am that old . . . and I was shocked by the ease it took to tee the ball up for her to hit into an angry crowd. She was saying that all women should support the Mondale/Ferraro ticket and I asked her if she would be so compelled to support a ticket with Phyllis Schlafly on it. I then proceeded to ask her why she, and all feminists vilify any woman who disagrees with them when they claim they are about free choice, equality, women’s rights, freedom, blah blah blah.

Turns out, that only applies to liberal women, liberal blacks, liberal anything. We have watched for years as they have moved to silence, intimidate, marginalize and ridicule any black who dares to embrace the party of Lincoln and refuse to stay on the state sponsored plantation. If they try and escape to the reality of conservative ideals and philosophies, they are hunted by the hounds of derision and undergo what Clarence Thomas referred to, as a high tech lynching.

So, back to the reason for writing this, before I took a little trip down feminist memory lane. As a conservative women I have seen the vilification and contempt for other women who share my beliefs and saw the full scale, public flaying of a competent, successful woman who was governor of the largest state in the union. The only thing she needed to change to become the darling of the left, was her belief system.

If Sarah Palin had been a liberal Democrat, there is no doubt she would probably be president or running for president today instead of another woman. Unlike Sarah, this other woman who is the darling of the left, is a hackneyed, pathetically desperate person who is bereft of original ideas and will do anything to try and prove she did it on her own with no one’s help. Ok Hillary, we’ll agree … Benghazi is all yours.

When Sarah announced she was supporting Trump, she was full of the same fire and passion that has always driven and compelled her to action. There was also a justified anger in her demeanor and words. She, like millions of conservatives feel betrayed not only by the political establishment, but all the special interest groups that have successfully marginalized conservatives in all corners of society whether the media, entertainment, education, or politics.

In the old cowboy shows you had the marshall and his deputies in charge and they were the arbiter of all conflicts. But then, somewhere in the plot, they would start abusing their power, claiming it was what was best for the town until creeping authoritarianism was strangling free thought. It would take an outside person, who hated bullies and wanted justice, to come in and save the day. There would be a stand off either in the saloon or on the street and the whole town was rooting for the new guy because they knew status quo had to go.

And that is why Sarah Palin, and millions of other conservatives are voting for the new gunslinger in town because he shares their anger at the abuse of power, at the flaunting of the law that is applied one way to one group and another way to another. At this point, it doesn’t matter if the battle is in the main street and windows are blown out, because there will be a time of cleanup after the  shoot out. The town is tired of being held hostage, first by an out-law administration, and second by an enabling Congress that hoodwinked the town into buying their musical instruments.

OK, I know I’ve jumped genres, but you get the drift. People are tired of being lied to, of being fleeced, of being ridiculed and marginalized and told they can’t say or think a certain way, and if they deny that global warming is a reality they could be fined or jailed. I threw that in to make a point of the radical nature of the battle we are in, but sadly, that is what the “Climateers” are wanting to do and there is no outcry from the right on this Draconian suggestion.

What is heard though is a voice of opposition against an over reaching government from a guy with a big gun and the will to use it. Yeah a gun analogy . . . get used to it. We are tired of talk and are looking for action.  And we are tired of being told who is more conservative and who we are “allowed” to support and aren’t.

Let’s blow some windows out and mix things up. The mirror behind the bar needs to be shot up every now and then and chairs need to be crashed on heads. We need a good old fashioned western bar fight in this country and may the strongest, the toughest, the most hard core dude in the room win.

That is why conservative women are flocking to Trump because they see that fight in him. They see a man with a pair who will face down the bullies in their town, and after winning the fight, will work to help replace the windows. He will help put a new mirror behind the bar in a saloon that will be run without fear, or intimidation or speech codes. And people who want to kill us all . . . conservative and liberal … will not be allowed to come in and destroy that peace.

Conservative women didn’t fall for the lies of the feminist movement and they don’t need self proclaimed leaders telling them who they should and shouldn’t support. I have always said a Renaissance Woman can think for herself, she doesn’t need a spokesman and she is not predictable. Because that leads to control. She is a leader not a follower, a winner not a whiner and a victor not a victim. This is the type of woman who is rising up and telling the fearful men to step aside. As Lee Iacocca once said . .. “Lead, follow, or get out of the way.”

(by Nina May)

We went to NY City a couple of weeks before Christmas to see a show and enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations. One of the first things we saw in the cab from Penn. Station was a huge, I mean huge, Trump banner hanging from a building. It was also a clear and distinct sign that Donald Trump had something to do with the remodeling of this downtown Manhattan property. It was a clear reminder that it is the private sector that serves as the engine of productivity and accomplishment, not the government.

While wading through a sea of people in the 65 degree, Spring Break weather, we searched to find Christmas displays but were assaulted by the politically correct, and non-threatening snow flake at every turn. It was as though the designers were told, “You have to make it festive so they spend their money, but you can’t show Santa, a Christmas tree, a wrapped gift, an angel, and certainly not the “NS” . . . that would be “Nativity Scene.”

We walked everywhere because of the fabulous weather and made mental notes of what was missing, what replaced it, and nothing persuaded us to crack open the wallet or purse. That is, until we stumbled across Trump Towers.

We decided to go in and look around. There were hundreds of people inside doing the same thing, probably like us, out of curiosity. We were relieved to see Christmas trees and reflections of the reason for the season and could feel a very unique excitement in the air as though everyone in the building had a personal stake in his success in his run for president.

It became a microcosm of who and what America is at its very heart. There was commerce at every level, from the selling of his books and ties, to the Starbucks to a cozy restaurant and bar and doors to new stores that were obviously being added. The bustle of a free market system decked in a reminder that we celebrate the birth of the Savior to the world, in a building designed by a man who could arguably be called arrogant suggested that he understands where his power comes from and wants to share that glory with the King of the universe.

What was more telling than the natural connection between mortal man and God, which is the purpose of Christ coming to earth, dying for our sins and conquering death on our behalf, was that, people got it. You could see people excited about getting pictures of themselves in front of the tree, remarking that Christmas carols could be heard, and that there was this tiny island of faith and magic in a sea of politically correct mediocrity that assaulted the senses on so many levels. And interestingly, there was not one political poster or even reminder of politics as though that profession had no place in this celebration of life and liberty.

Trump is a producer while politicians are designed to put obstacles in the way of productivity and skim the cream from the top of the bucket of everything created in the country. Trump Towers was a reminder that, it is the businessman, the architect, the artist, the musician, the engineer who works in tandem to create what the rest of us take for granted and expect as a part of life. Government has twisted their image from being one of servant to the people, to necessary benevolent supplier of all needs when what they are really doing is fleecing the producers, like Donald Trump.

Millions of Americans relate to him because they are doing what he does, not necessarily on the same level, but with the same heart and intent. We are all on the same journey down a snake invested river which is the government, taking our hard earned money at every turn and putting up additional obstacles in the form of regulations and prohibitions to success. They now want to pretend they are doing something about the climate by pointing their condescending, elitist finger at all humanity saying they are the reason for the potential one degree rise in temperature in the next 80 years.

They are the same people who feel empowered and called to increase their carbon footprint by a billion fold to make sure they fly their private jets to Paris and discuss the disdain they have for all living creatures. Trump gets in his jet to get things done, to give people jobs, to encourage the producer to keep going and not give into the malaise the left would have the country fall prey to.

He is a breath of fresh air in a stale room of mediocrity and oppression. The fact that he is wealthy is not as important as what he is perceived as doing with his wealth. Unlike the government that takes from the producer and enables the non-producer, Trump is pouring money into a broken system by hiring people who then have to turn almost half their pay check over to a bloated, Jabba the Hut type government that is run by people who all think they should now be president.

There are three non-political candidates in the presidential race and they all bring the discontent, anger and frustration of the American people to bare. As the left tries to vilify Wall Street, corporate America, and those who are pulling the wagon of prosperity, the rest of America is seeing the non-politicians as a source of sanity in a world gone made with power and stupidity.

When our president says that the threat of global warming, which has been disproved on so many levels, is more important than the steady infiltration of people who want to kill and change who and what America is, the citizens are right in saying we need a course correction. And, someone as successful and accomplished as Trump could be that person.

Look at all the candidates and ask yourself . .  what have any of them made? Only three can point to successes in the private sector. Kasich reminds us that 18 years ago he served on a committee in Congress and that is his chief accomplishment. Seriously? How many buildings has he built? Yet, how many rules and regulations, increased taxes and obstacles did he, or any of the others vote for? That is what people see when they see professional politicians.

The era of the politician is over. It is time for new leadership that understands what the needs of the people are, and that is to be left alone, to create, to build, to keep their hard earned money to invest in others who want to do the same thing. Trump is that model of excellence that has always been the spirit of America . . . until the socialists took over.

Both parties are culpable and responsible for this malaise. They all get in their cozy ivory tower, while the little people bang at the door with their empty bowls saying, “please sir, may we have more?” How did it get to the point where the country is run by people who just take and take and take and then in the generosity of the position afforded them, they give to those they know can help them stay in this position of power?

I say throw them all out, put in producers and people who understand how hard it is to make a dollar, and then try and keep it. Both parties have merged into one coalition of the takers and that is why they have both aimed their collective guns at The Donald. His own party is doing everything it can to undermine him, Ben Carson, and every other candidate that doesn’t toe the line.

People are not stupid, and the polls show that the popularity of Congress is just below that of a used car salesman and the press. They don’t trust politicians, they have been lied to by them and they see people like Bill and Hillary Clinton go from owning nothing to becoming multi-millionaires by doing nothing but capitalizing on the fact that they were politicians. What else have they ever done in their lives? What have they produced? What have they created that is of lasting value? What have they personally done to impact or change one life for the better with their own personal resources? It’s easy to be generous with everyone else’s money. Hillary hasn’t driven a car in over 20 years. How can she possibly relate to the mother who has to sit in the carpool line day after day? How does she know what the 9 to 5 worker feels like, stuck in traffic, anxious on a daily basis that they will arrive to work late and get fired?

Hillary might be a millionaire, but it is in name only. Donald Trump took the gift from his family, not the Federal government, and turned it into multi-millions of dollars, tens of thousands of jobs, and millions of lives that have been touched through the years. What has Hillary ever done besides enable a perverted husband to molest and prey on innocent women while she stood by and did nothing except blame them? She is married to the General of the War on Women and has the cajones to say that Trump is the sexist? Oh really? She is where she is because of men. She has pimped herself to them to get where she is today, and for that selling of her empty soul she feels we, the American people now owe her the presidency.

There is a huge difference between Hillary and Trump and the people are seeing it, but they are keeping their powder dry for the general election. Almost person I have talked to said they can’t stand the idea of Hillary as president, and even if they don’t like Trump personally, for whatever reason, they would vote for him.

They all say the same thing . . . if the powers that be, hate him, I love him. If they are going to attack him, I am going to support him. They self-identify with a man who is attacked, condemned, belittled, mocked and scorned, because that is how they feel. They don’t relate to the money and private planes, and huge buildings. They relate to what he has gone through to get there and how, after all the tremendous success in his life, the same enemies are still trying to destroy him. Americans relate to that because that is what the Clintons and Obamas of the world keep doing to them.

So, Trump, like him or not, is a reflection of the spirit of America that was inspired by men and women who fought against oppression and said boldly to the king of the greatest empire at that time, “We have no king but Jesus,” and they won. Americans are winners, and they are fighting against a force that is trying to destroy us from within, by destroying the human spirit, and emasculating men.   At the same time, we are fighting a force from without that wants to fundamentally transform this country. Trump and America say, “Not on our watch.”

Obama, Hillary and other disingenuous liberals are feigning anger that guns were used, yet once again, to further the murderous cause of the radical Islamic terrorists. There I said it. I just wish they would point the finger at the real culprit, the criminal, instead of the inanimate object, the gun. But if you want to talk about the gun, let’s go there.

This is an excerpt from a very detailed article, no. 83, July 25, 2012, by John Malcomb at Heritage Foundation, on the government releasing guns into the criminal communities in a program called, Fast & Furious . . .

“In late 2009 or early 2010, some of the agents involved with Operation Fast and Furious began to object to some of the investigative techniques being used, including gunwalking. Some of the cooperating gun store owners also told ATF agents that they were uncomfortable making repeated sales to individuals they suspected or knew were involved in criminal activity. The ATF agents and prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s office repeatedly assured these store owners that the weapons were being tracked and that their sales not only posed no danger to the public, but also would assist law enforcement in bringing dangerous criminals to justice.

On October 21, 2010, Sinaloa drug cartel members kidnapped Mario Gonzalez Rodriguez, the brother of former Chihuahua State Attorney General Patricia Gonzalez Rodriguez. On November 5, his tortured body was discovered in a shallow grave. Following a shootout in which Rodriquez’s suspected kidnappers were apprehended, Mexican police seized 16 weapons, two of which were traced to Operation Fast and Furious.

On December 15, 2010, U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, a 40-year-old former Marine, was killed in a firefight while on patrol; two of the guns involved in the shooting were traced to Operation Fast and Furious.

On January 25, 2011, Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke announced the indictment of 20 individuals connected with Operation Fast and Furious and provided the first public details of the investigation. DOJ officials had discussed bringing Holder to Phoenix for the press conference; however, in the aftermath of Terry’s death, the task of attending the press conference with Burke fell to SAC Newell, who, when asked whether ATF had allowed guns to walk, surprised his colleagues by stating, ‘Hell, no.’”

So if Obama, Hillary, Harry Reid and the other duplicitous, lying politicians want to blame anyone, they will have to put the blame squarely on the shoulders of their own twisted system that provided guns to criminals in the hopes that crimes like this would be committed so they could bring out their anti-gun drums and beat them until the gullible electorate fell for it.

Sorry guys, not this time. You won’t even say that these murderers in San Bernadino were radical Islamic terrorists even though the wife pledged her allegiance to ISIS on line. How in the world does anyone think you care about defending and protecting our freedoms? And the more Hillary does her witch scream about the evils of guns suggesting that any American with one is a potential terrorist, the more the gun sales go off the charts.

And if anyone is waging a war on women, it is the elitists who have their secret service and armed body guards, like Hillary, Bloomberg and every other entitled politician and wealthy liberal. They can have guns around them, but not women in their own homes to protect themselves from hostile invaders. They are told they are the criminal if they even suggest the Second Amendment allows them to keep and bear arms. The left is so out of touch with the heart of America that they equate the head of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre with a terrorist who wants to cut your head off. No, Wayne wants you to have the right to defend yourself in light of the fact that your government has want only released hundreds of assault weapons into the criminal pipeline.

It would not be shocking if we discovered that this is where the charming Islamic couple got there guns. Oddly though, not much is said about the dozens of pipe bombs they had in their possession. Are they now going to post the photo of the president of Ferguson Plumbing on the cover of their tacky little rag suggesting he is as dangerous as a terrorist, or as Wayne?

So, New York Daily News . . . if you want to put the pictures of people who could be responsible for terrorist acts in America, just replace the photo of Wayne LaPierre with one of Obama or Eric Holder or pretty much anyone at the Justice Department who allowed these assault weapons to be released into the criminal communities, because we know they have been used to kill innocent people. But, as despicable as it is, that our government would hatch a lethal gun running scheme, it still took criminals, murderers and yes, even Islamic Terrorists to pull the trigger on these inanimate objects.

(I encourage you to get the entire article that John Malcomb wrote about the Fast & Furious gun running scheme, it was in the Heritage Foundation, Legal Memorandum no. 83, July 25, 2012.)

In the 1948 Hitchcock movie, “Rope”, the very avant-garde theme of elitism and superior moral authority mirrors the current debate on Obama and the Democrat’s health care plan. In the film, two friends are taught that members of the world’s elite have a right to eliminate whomever they deem inferior. Testing this theory, the men decide to strangle a friend from the same boarding school. They hide his body in plain sight while throwing a party to honor him, ostensibly mocking those who love him. This of course was produced on the heels of the greatest holocaust the world has ever known with characters representing the polemic positions of both the victims and those who deemed them as less than worthy to live.

The health care bill that Obama proposes has this theme at its core and has in its crosshairs, the Baby Boomer engine that is pulling the derailed economy as it takes its final lap toward retirement. In less than two years, Baby Boomers will begin retiring in multitudes, expecting to reclaim the hard earned money they have been paying into Social Security. But this Health Care Bill, HR3200, has other plans for them.

Those 65 and older will be required to undergo mandatory “end of life” counseling to determine if they are worthy to continue to not only live, but take much needed resources from those who are younger and more worthy to receive them. Counselors will be trained to discuss how to end life sooner, how to decline nutrition and hydration, how to go into hospice, etc.

This will not be done without coercion. For those who have amassed assets enough to take care of themselves in their old age will have these assets confiscated in the name of fiscal responsibility, because by this time, every citizen will be entered into a national database under the guise of improved efficiency. This database will be run by a type of “star chamber,” appointed by the president, that will determine whether or not you deserve the much needed operation your personal doctor thinks you need. It is daunting to think that a panel of about 20 people will daily regulate, through a computer terminal, millions of people’s medical treatment.

But perhaps it will not be as difficult a task as the numbers would suggest. When the mother of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, had issues with the large numbers of blacks, she advocated for increased access to abortion and forced sterilization of young black women. Her further plans to exterminate those who were infirmed, handicapped or a drain on society, precipitated Hitler’s idea and methods for his “final solution.”

The Margaret Sangers and Joseph Menglas of today are positioned to sit on this “star chamber.” One is Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Obama’s top advisor, Rham Emanuel. He is an advocate of “end of life” options and is on Obama’s Council of Comparative Effectiveness Research, a program developed to determine who is worthy to live and who isn’t.

Dr. Ezekiel believes medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia”. In the June 18, 2008 Journal of the AMA, he writes, “Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others.”

In 2006 the Comparative Effectiveness Research denied the elderly a drug to cure macular degeneration until they had gone blind in one eye. These decisions will be made from Washington, in an impersonal, statistical fashion and seniors will be the victims. But remember, these draconian measures exempt our elected, most worthy officials, and their families, from the devastation of this proposed health care bill.

The reason it is imperative for the Democrats and Obama to make sure it passes, on the heels of their outrageous “stimulus” package, bank bailout and GM buyout, is that they are running out of money. Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population and soon, upon retirement, they will end their tax producing years and put a huge strain on the Social Security System. With 40 million fewer children today, there are fewer paying into the Social Security system to reimburse those eligible to receive their portion. This is one of the reasons behind the hidden provisions in this very dangerous health care bill.

We have seen this type of dictatorial behavior in the past, when one segment of society has determined itself to be more worthy of life than the rest. We have a choice to go the way of failed, deadly, socialist nations, or to let our voices be heard.

In the 1948 Alfred Hitchcock movie, “Rope”, the very avant garde theme of elitism and superior moral authority is playing itself out in the current debate on Obama and the Democrat’s health care plan. Two adult friends who attended the same boarding school were taught that there are some in the world whose elitism and superiority gives them the right to murder whoever they deem inferior or weaker than they are. They decide to test that theory and strangle another friend from the same boarding school and hide his body in plain sight while they pretend to throw a party to honor him, ostensibly mocking those who love him while smugly feeling they have nothing to be ashamed of.

This of course was produced on the heels of the greatest holocaust the world has ever known with the actors of both sides representing the polemic positions of those who were victims during the war, and those who deemed them as less than worthy to live.

The health care bill that Obama, et al, propose has at its core that very theme. Not only will they, and their families be exempt from the draconian measures it plans to force on the rest of the country, but it truly is a final solution for the Baby Boomer engine that is pulling the derailed economy as it takes its final lap toward retirement.

In less than two years, Baby Boomers will begin retiring in huge numbers, expecting to see some of the hard earned money they have been paying into Social Security. Many have planned to rely on this forced savings that each retiree has worked additional years just to pay into the system. But this Health Care Bill, HR3200, has other plans for them.

On page 425 of the Health Care holocaust proposal, everyone who is 65 and older will be required to undergo mandatory “end of life” counseling to decide if they are worthy to continue to not only live, but take much needed resources from those who are younger and more worthy to receive them. The counselor will be trained to discuss how to end their life sooner, how to decline nutrition, how to decline being hydrated, how to go into hospice, etc. This will be required every five years from that point on and at any time between the counseling, if this aging Boomer should be sick, they will be forced to come in for additional counseling to determine if now is the time for them to decide to kill themselves . . . for the good of the country of course.

This will not be done without coercion. For those who have amassed assets enough to take care of themselves in their old age, will have these assets confiscated in the name of fiscal responsibility  . . . and redistribution of wealth. Because by this time, every single citizen will have been entered into a national data base under the guise of improved efficiency and to facilitate the government over-site into the dispensing of medical care to every citizen. This database, and all decisions will be run by a type of “star chamber” which will consist of people appointed by the president who will literally be able to determine whether you are worthy to get the much needed operation your primary care giver, who has treated you for years, thinks you need. It is daunting to think that a panel of about 20 people will be able, on a daily basis, to determine through a computer terminal, how millions of people need to be treated medically.

But perhaps it will not be as difficult a task as the numbers would suggest. When the heroine of the left, Margaret Sanger, had issues with the large numbers of blacks and those she determined inferior, she advocated for increased access to abortion which in many cases in poor rural areas led to forced sterilization of young black women. She was the one who gave Hitler the idea for his “final solution” and showed ways to streamline the system. She of course is the mother of Planned Parenthood, which still gets millions of dollars in tax money yearly and has the blood of over 40 million unborn babies on their hands. Not only was her plan to exterminate those she deemed less worthy than herself racially, but those who were infirmed, handicapped or a drain on society. (See http://www.Maafa21.com/ for an in depth look at Sanger and Planned Parenthood and how blacks were targeted for extinction by the party that lost the war on slavery, opposed their liberation, full citizenship and right to vote and that instituted the Jim Crow laws to keep these new citizens from voting for the party that liberated them.)

The Margaret Sangers and Joseph Menglas of today are positioned to sit on the “star chamber” that will decide the fate of every American citizen. One is Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Obama’s top advisor, Rham Emanuel. He is an advocate of “end of life” options and is on Obama’s Council of Comparative Effectiveness Research, which basically is a program developed to determine who is more worthy to live and who isn’t.

Dr. Ezekiel believes medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia”.  In the June 18, 2008 Journal of the American Medical Association, he writes, [medical health care] “savings will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others.”

Emanuel wrote an article in Health Affairs, 2005, no. 4 saying, “Cases such as [the Schiavo case] also introduce economic issues, as the costs of keeping people alive—especially in the ICU—are substantial. Todd Gilmer and colleagues show that the use of ethics consultations associated with ‘nonbeneficial’ ICU care yielded cost reductions ranging from $2,276 to $5,573 per person, which could generate an annual cost reduction of $157,830 for a hospital with forty ICU beds. Thus, instead of a trend in the direction of sustaining patients through artificial means, it is more likely that we will see more cases where doctors want to terminate care, but will get resistance from patients’ families . . .”

There is a Health Choices Administration including the Comparative Effectiveness Research Commission which is considered “the rationing group” and is code for “when were you born”.  They’re the ones who compare treatments and surgeries and outcomes and ultimately would decide, depending on your age and your healthcare under this new government-run plan, if will you receive the medical treatment you need if you are over 65. In 2006 the Comparative Effectiveness Research that said the elderly could not get the drug to cure macular degeneration until they had gone blind in one eye. Are you in good enough health for this treatment?  Is it cost effective because you’re a certain age?  These decisions will be made from Washington, in an impersonal, statistical fashion and seniors will be the ones to lose.

Not only are doctors around the country shocked by this cavalier attitude of a man who is perched to literally determine life and death over millions of Americans, but patients should be shocked too. But remember, these draconian measures will only be applied to the populous . . . our elected, most worthy officials, and their families, are exempt from the devastation of this proposed health care bill.

The section of this “final solution” bill that deals with end of life solutions for those over 65 is just one tiny, shocking portion of the over 1000 pages of freedom smashing proposals it contains. It is so large and ponderous that only a handful of those voting on it have even read the thing. Obama admits he has not read it. Think about it, we have about 545 people getting paid the big bucks to represent over 300 million people and they can’t even get that right yet think somehow we, the citizens are responsible for the current economic crisis we are in. They are the ones that appropriate, tax and spend while the country has become slaves to their insatiable desire for more and more power and control on our lives.

Everyone should insist that a provision is added to every bill, by law, coming out of congress that it can not be voted on unless ever member signs a pledge that they have read it, understand it, and understand the devastating consequences it will have on its constituency, and, they can explain in detail what every single page means. Then they will be on the record as knowing and still not caring.

Thankfully, there is a handful of congressmen speaking out against this bill because they understand the negative impact it will have on their constituents. Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite represents a district in Florida where the Villages, a huge retirement community is located. This bill could literally wipe that community out by determining in just the first year of counseling that none of them are worthy to continue living. If they are determined to be a drain on the economy and the medical system established by the government, their assets could be confiscated to pay the additional costs, their bank accounts seized by the government and health care refused because they are deemed not worthy.

The reason it is imperative for the Democrats and Obama to make sure it passes, on the heels of their outrageous “stimulus” package, bank bailout and GM buyout, is that they are running out of money. And where do they propose to get that money since this has over a trillion-dollar price tag on it.

Almost 77% of all Americans now living were born after 1939. During the baby boomer years, 1946-1964 (inclusive), 75.8 million Americans were born. Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population which means all of those are getting ready to retire, ending their tax producing years, tapping into their social security and retirement benefits which necessarily means they will put a huge strain on a system they did not create or break, yet somehow they will pay the price for.

Boomers ARE the economy, representing the vast majority of the work force. Since there are less children . . . by about 40 million . . . there are fewer paying into the Social Security system to reimburse the boomers who are just about to become eligible to begin receiving theirs. This is one of the reasons behind these hidden provisions in this very dangerous health care bill.

Democrats are so afraid that you, the American taxpayer will find out the truth about this that they are censoring Republican congressman from putting any mention of a “government run health care bill,” in their Postal Patrons which are designed to keep their constituents informed about what is happening. (see Connie Hair’s article on http://www.humanevents.co m/article.php?id=32872 ).

Some of the congressmen whose correspondence is being censored by the Democrats who sit on the Franking Commission that determines what can go into a Postal Patron are Jo Bonner (R-Ala.), Charles Boustany (R-La.), Kevin Brady (R-Texas), Mike Conaway (R-Texas), John Culberson (R-Texas), John Fleming (R-La.), Scott Garrett (R-N.J.), Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.), Wally Herger (R-Ca.), John Kline (R-Minn.), Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.), Chris Lee (R-N.Y.), Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), Pete Olson (R-Texas), Tom Price (R-Ga.), Peter Roskam (R-Ill.), Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), Lamar Smith (R-Texas), and Lynn Westmoreland (R-Ga.)

In addition to be censored, Republican congressmen have been shut out of debate, not allowed to testify or give opposing views on the issue. Even when Obama did a one-hour infomercial from the White House, opposing views and commercials were not allowed to be aired. It begs the question . . .  “What are they trying to hide from the voters?”

Congressman Kevin Brady (R-Tx) said, “At the end of the day, what we’re going to have is that families are going to be told what doctors they can choose, what treatments they deserve, and what medicines they can receive all by an unelected bureaucrat.  We think that’s a scary thought.”

We have seen this type of dictatorial behavior in the past, when one segment of society has determined that they are more elite, more advanced, more educated, more worthy to live than another segment of society. We have a choice to go the way of failed socialist nations, or fight back and let our voices be heard. For those who think government control of every aspect of our life is not the agenda of the Democrats trying to ram these costly, dangerous, liberty destroying bills through congress, remember the words of Socialist party candidate, Norman Thomas in 1944 who said, “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day, America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. I no longer need to run as a presidential candidate for the Socialist party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”

Here are some of the points in the Bill. It is written in “code” with repeated references to existing bils, legislation, Agency rules and regs which make it very difficult to decipher and unravel the 1017 pages, but several doctors have done just that. Here are the references.

If you had an employee who was getting $160,000 a year, plus a full time staff, travel expenses, and a huge budget to work with, but never showed up for work, what would you do? Obama proudly lists on his resume that running for President is the most substantial thing he has ever accomplished. I am sure that his campaign manager must be surprised by that bit of hubris. What has he done though to earn $320,000 the past two years while he has been paid for being a Senator? It suggests that the position of senator is not that important and can be put on hold for two years to travel the country, raise money, give speeches and be adored by the liberal media.

And his response to McCain returning to DC to actually punch the time clock and have an impact on the debate about the economy is met with snide comments about being able to multi-task. That’s sort of like a guy playing golf, getting a note that his wife is in the hospital saying he can multi-task by continuing to play while calling=2 0her on the phone to wish her well. The good husband rushes to her side.

If Obama cared as much about this economic crisis as he cares about winning this campaign, he would have denounced his economic advisors, Franklin Raines and James Johnson as being part of the Enron-like crisis where no mercy was spared to annihilate those involved in that scandal. And for years it continued to be a centerpiece of the trash Bush and Republican policy that the Democrats so proudly crafted. Now, the only sound that can be heard over the wringing of hands, is the cash register logging in the millions of dollars that these two and others have walked away with while leaving the regular taxpayer to hold the bag. How populist is that Obama?

Here is an easy solution to this economic crisis, and I give Planned Parenthood the credit for making it so crystal clear. They announced that because of the economic crisis they are going to give out free abortions for a while. That’s right, throw those babies at the Baal worshippers hoping to appease the “god of good economy”. I think the ancients who brought us child sacrifice would be proud of that very barbaric solution. But why not defund Planned Parenthood and apply that money to the crisis? Then take every single earmark that was just passed by congress and put that on the balance sheet representing less money the taxpayers have to cough up for this unbridled greed and corruption.

Don’t stop there. What is HUD’s budget? And what does HUD do besides make sure that the government can dictate to a property owner who they can and can’t rent to. Close that useless agency and add that money to the crisis column. Convert that government building into high priced condos so that it actually serves an income pro ducing purpose.

The Department of Energy? What does it accomplish other than preventing us from drilling for oil in our own country to achieve oil independence? What really is the purpose of that agency and dozens of others like it that sit on prime real estate in the nation’s capitol, devising ways to curtail liberties and impose greater restrictions and regulations on us. What does HHS do besides employ thousands of people who could be working in the private sector if the government would lower taxes, reduce regulations on small businesses and do what it was designed to do which is protect us from assault . . . foreign and domestic, providing an atmosphere of tranquility and growth.

If you took the entire budget of HHS, which is larger than many countries in the world, divide it by the number of families it claims to help with its plantation handouts, and provide an advisor fo r each one, it would not only save the taxpayers millions, but it would bring an end to a totally failed system that has institutionalized dependency and served to rob people of their dignity and freedom. Oh, and convert that building into low income housing where each family is responsible for paying rent . . . from the new jobs they will get once the restriction for them finding work has been lifted.

These government agencies have either robbed freedoms from the citizens, or they have enabled citizens to continue with irresponsible behavior, rewarding them at every turn. It’s sort of like Obama saying he wants to give the UN almost a billion dollars more to help end poverty in the world, when he can’t even pull out his own checkbook and help his own brother who is living on less than $10 a month in Africa.

So, if you take out all those earmarks and special interest giveaways that are in the budget and fire candidates who are on the government payroll while pursuing their own careers, close abusive and oppressive government agencies, tell the UN that you will only pay the bare minimum to be a member since you have only one vote, like a country that pays $10,000 a year to belong, allow drilling off the coast to bring the cost of gas down, and start selling a lot of the real estate that the government has acquired through the centuries . . . they wouldn’t need an economic bailout or stimulus package, because all of that would solve the problem.

What is Barack Obama’s solution? To insist upon a debate because the country deserves to hear his eloquence. Heh, earth to Barack . . . we have been hearing from you for two years now and it is getting old, tiresome and redundant. Other than adding a few more states to the union, you really haven’t done or said anything that would have us believe that one more debate will reveal a unique thought. Give it up. It is hard to break it to a self-proclaimed messiah that there really is an issue bigger than you.

It is beyond shocking that the women who have claimed for decades that women can and should compete openly in a man’s world, breaking glass ceilings while multi-tasking on a variety of projects they choose . . . have now become knuckle draggers like the men they first claimed oppressed them over 50 years ago. You know, the men who said a woman’s place is in the home, and keeping her barefoot and pregnant would ensure that she stayed there.

Irony of ironies, one of the women who inspired the modern feminist movement was Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who, with a handful of other maverick women, fought for abolition and for women’s right to vote. By the way, she also had seven children while fighting that good fight, and no one back then, seemed to suggest she couldn’t do both. And even though she lived over 150 years ago, it was much easier for her to get from town to town, than it is for Gov. Sarah Palin because no cities in Alaska are connected by roads. To travel and govern in the largest state in the union, you either have to go by boat, plane, helicopter or dogsled.

But the reality is that Sarah Palin, who is a true renaissance women, is a culmination of all that the modern feminists “claim” they have been fighting for for years. But we have seen what a fallacy that supposition has been in the past as we saw their complete and total disdain for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. We have seen the duplicity as it relates to leveling the playing field for blacks when they claim to want and celebrate th e success of all blacks, but resort to high tech lynchings if that black or that woman is a conservative or a Republican.

This bi-polar response to women of different political stripes will only serve to be the final nail in the coffin of a political movement that was never about elevating women to the positions of leadership and responsibility. It has been a movement that has worked to redefine women in the basest terms, lowering the bar of excellence to incorporate the worse qualities of man. These self-proclaimed champions of women refer to Sarah Palin as a Barbie Doll, cheerleader, stewardess, etc., denying her amazing accomplishments, while working to redefine successful women as Desperate Housewives, only wanting Sex in the City. The left is happy with that dumbed down assessment of women because they have a desperate need to keep women as pawns of their victimization rhetoric, convincing them that they are less than equal, they are less than qualified, and they need the government and big brother to accomplish anything in life. If women operate outside of that firmly established parameter, they are immediately excoriated, marginalized and condemn ed for making choices the hierarchy did not approve.

That is the battle we are facing in this country today where the forces of individuality, responsibility and integrity are fighting the forces of subservient, indoctrinated revisionism that lies about the history of women, blacks and the role that both parties have played in liberating both. It is fitting that Gov. Sarah Palin is a Republican because that was the party that was founded in 1854 to abolish slavery, and eventually give equal voting rights to all women. Six planks of their first nine-plank platform dealt with abolition, equal rights for liberated slaves, and the right for them to vote. The 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments were passed unanimously by the Republicans and fought unanimously by the Democrats who, when they gained total control of the House, the Senate and the White House in 1892, totally repealed all two dozen civil rights bills that the Republicans had passed. They instituted Jim Crow laws to keep black REPUBLICANS from voting because at this time, every single black belonged to the party of Lincoln and knew the Democrats, who had proudly formed the KKK, would kill them if they tried to vote for a Republican.

Frederick Douglas even said, “In all the southern states, the 14th and 15th Amendments are practically of no force or effect. By means of the shotgun and midnight raid, the old master class has triumphed over the newly enfranchised citizen and put the Constitution under their feet . . . The colored people, who largely outnumber the whites and who are Republican in politics, have been banished from the ballot box and robbed of representation in the councils of the nation . . . and the social conditions of the colored people in that section is but little above what it was in the time of slavery.”
By 1900, four years after the Supreme Court ignored the 14th Amendment in their Plessey v. Ferguson decision, a Democrat Senator from South Carolina, Ben Tillman even moved to repeal the 14th and 15th Amendments by stating, “We made up our minds that the Amendments were null and void; that the civil rights acts of congress were null and void; that oaths required by such laws were null and void.” And even though Republican Teddy Roosevelt welcomed Booker T. Washington to the White House in 1901, more than 10 years later he was snubbed by Democrat president Woodrow Wilson, who chose instead to show the racist movie, Birth of a Nation, in the White House, making it the very first movie ever20shown there. Wilson, by the way, had only been governor of New Jersey for two years before being elected as president.

That same Democrat party is alive and well today, and we have witnessed an attempted lynching of Gov. Sarah Palin. She is vilified for being a working mom when that has been one of the leading planks in the feminist platform for decades. She is condemned for being feminine and pretty when these same people pump billions of dollars in the fashion, make-up, plastic surgery industry to tell women they are less than a woman if they are not perfectly packaged.

Their very flimsy reason for opposing her, as expressed by key hypocrites like Sally Quinn, is that they care about these children, and it isn’t fair to these children to have a mother who would be a Vice President. That will come as a real shock to millions of working moms who have no choice but to work because they are the primary breadwinner. Her remark that all children need a mom and dad to raise them will be a happy note for the gay community th at has insisted for years that two men can replace a woman at any time, and I don’t recall Sally Quinn, or the other feminists standing up and saying to the gay community that only a woman can raise a child, and that woman should stay home and do it. That would be an interesting story to follow.

It is also very ironic that nothing was said about the bar for president being not only lowered, but removed by a woman . . . Hillary Clinton. This was a woman who enabled her husband to abuse her and other women and she is rewarded with a senate seat from a state she never even lived in, and then arrogantly presumed she is qualified to be president, just because she slept in the White House. No one questioned it, and if a Republican dared to say a thing about her priorities of a political activist over that of being a mom, they would have been laughed out of town. No Republican was allowed to point out that the emperor had no clothes and there was no substance to her claim to achieve higher office. It was accepted with a national shrug, which allowed another totally ill-equipped politician to throw his hat in the ring figuring, heh, if Hillary can do it, pretty much anyone in this country can do it, so why not me?

The only problem is that when Barack Obama did it, he was not a household name and even Democrats were questioning his vitae, not because they couldn’t get behind him if selected as the nominee, but because Hillary was their clear choice and in those days, was seen as the clear winner against any Republican who would run for president.

Back in January of 2007, when Barack had only been in the US Senate for two years and decided to run for president, a USA Today article stated, “Two years in the U.S. Senate. Seven years in the Illinois Senate, one loss in a primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives, one stirring keynote address at a Democratic National Convention, two books. That’s Barack Obama’s political résumé. Is it enough to qualify him to be president?” The responses in the same article were overwhelmingly in support of a total unknown, untested, untried 44-year-old being ready to be president . . . not even vice president. Carol Hood, a Democratic Party chairman in Calhoun County, Iowa said, sure, “Anymore, that might be a good factor,=2 0because he doesn’t have a lot of people he owes things to.” Hmm, and he had already been in the US Senate for two years and owed nothing to anyone? How much less beholden would Governor Palin be who comes from over 3,000 miles outside the Washington, D.C. Beltway.

Compared to her 12 years in public office, Obama has served only 11, if you generously include the last two where he was been running, full time for president, while being paid by the American taxpayers, to do a job he saw immediately, and arrogantly as a launching pad for his political career. Naively, he has actually included his two years as a presidential candidate as being executive experience comparing his 2500 employees to her 50 employees as a mayor, conveniently forgetting that she is a Governor, not a mayor. Wow, talk about desperate. First of all, she is a Governor of the largest state in the nation, who oversees a budget in the billions and he doesn’t run the campaign . . . he is the candidate. That would be like Vivien Leigh saying she produced, directed and handled the financing for Gone With the Wind. No, you are the star, while others keep the machine afloat. And that accounting alone should require the IRS do to an audit of him, his campaign, his office and demand that he repay his salary from the past two years to the taxpayers if he readily admits he has been running for president and not serving as a Senator.

The accusation by Democrats of Governor Palin being too young is funny from the party that idolizes the Kennedy clan, forgetting that JFK was only 43 when he became president. Was he more qualified at 43 than a governor WOMAN who is 44? The suggestion that women are insulted by the Palin nomination because she is what . . . too young, too inexperienced, truly is an insult to all women who worked hard in a man’s world to compete toe to toe with them only to be dissed by their fellow sisters when they finally get there on their own terms. Oh, did I mention that Teddy Roosevelt was 42 when he was the VP that took over after President McKinley was shot? Did anyone suggest that at 42 he should not be a part of that ticket because he was too young? But a 44-year-old woman is too young?

What do the political scientists, the experts in politics say about the need for a heavily weighted resume? Dean Spiliotes, of St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. says that “What really matters is your temperament and your ability to make good decisions,” Spiliotes says. “Voters make their decision at a very intuitive, gut level. … They have a mental checklist of what a president looks like, sou nds like and acts like.”

Early on in the Obama campaign, several comparisons were made between him and President Lincoln, also from Illinois. He was a member of the Illinois state legislature before serving in the Congress for a short time before becoming president. There was a sense of desperation in this comparison since Lincoln was a Republican.

Nicole Schilling, chairman of the Democratic Par ty in Greene County, Iowa, says Obama’s lack of a long political record will work to his advantage. “Some people are saying he’s young, he needs to wait,” she says. “I think it’s going to work to his advantage here.” Heh Nicole, does that mean that Gov. Palin’s real experience will also work to her advantage?

Mell Brooks, Democratic Chairman in Littleton, N. H., says he thinks Obama can achieve that goal despite his inexperience. “No doubt 20 years of experience is better than 10,” he says.” For some individuals, it might well be a drawback, but it depends on the intellect, the knowledge and the ability of the candidate,” he says. “For Obama, inexperience is not a big drawback.” How then is it for a woman with experience?

All that said, it is understandable that the Democrat party is going to elevate their candidate and try and destroy the Republican. That is politics; it is a full contact sport. But what is causing the conservative base to solidify in a battalion of hardened warriors, riding to her defense, is the amazing, unabashed, totally unobjective coverage of Gov. Palin b y the media. Their true colors are finally showing and to acknowledge them as professionals would do dishonor and service to that historically wonderful profession. Renaissance Women sent out a press release of our excitement about the selection of Sarah Palin and questioned the immediate spin that she was not as qualified to serve as Barack. Here is just one sample of the many responses we received from editors, publishers and self-proclaimed journalists that will show you just how far off the deep end this profession has fallen. (I did not make a single change in his missive . . . not even correcting this Managing Editor’s misspelled words.)

“Spin it any way you want, but the choice of Palin was a slap in the face to all the Hillary backers: ‘Oh, you like women in high office, here’s one, she’s a beauty queen from the Great White North. A mother of five including a Down’s Syndrome baby and a pregnant 17-year-old daughter should be thinking about FAMILY, not the White House…Whatever happened to those ‘Republican’ values that’ve been rammed down our throats for the past eight years. Palin, Limbaugh, Cindy McCain: the hypocacy just kills me. The selection of Palin is a clear sign that John McCain is grasping for straws….The person I want to be a heartbeat away Joe Biden. Not Sarah Palin, who’s against a woman’s right to choose, even in cases of rape and incest, who’s against gay (human) rights and who’s against gun control. We might as well move back to the 19th century.” (John Loesing, Managing Editor of The Acorn Newspapers,

No, here is what is insulting to women: Bullies who pick on a young 17-year-old girl who finds herself pregnant and is used as a political pawn by the same people who said that a grown man, serving as president of the United States could molest a teenager in the White House because his sexual life should be private. What is insulting is his enabling wife who is seen as the victim because she stood by for years as he raped and molested women, even allowing these women’s reputations to be destroyed and dragged through the mud being called everything from “trailer trash” to liars.

How are women insulted by a woman who has been able to balance a family and career and was even pregnant during her tenure as Governor? After realizing she was carrying a child with Down Syndrome and all of the extra care that will entail, she opted to do the right thing and give her child a chance at life. She has successfully managed a state that redefines frontier and harsh environment, while carrying a baby and raising her other four children. This is not a woman that other women are insulted by, but are inspired by and if a sycophant pseudo “journalist” chooses to think women are insulted by this type of strength and grace, then he is a pathetic individual who has chosen the wrong line of work.

Modern feminism died in August, 2008, by a self-inflicted shot to the heart of all it claimed to stand for. It has finally been revealed as nothing more than an arm of the Democrat party as it has effectively placed women on a philosophical plantation, that if they try and put on shoes of wisdom and leave the kitchen of indoctrination and revisionism, they are ridiculed and destroyed. The new feminists who will rise out of the ashes of this suicidal display of hypocrisy will be real renaissance women in the mold of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman and other warrior mavericks who bucked a system, caused REAL change and solidified for an eternity, the memory of real women of courage and grit. Governor Sarah Palin is the new standard bearer of that movement and she has already garnered millions of followers, men and women. The Genie cannot be put back in the bottle. Let the games begin!

The first win for Senator McCain that shook his slumbering base was the Saddleback Forum where his direct answers that revealed conviction and resolve stood in sharp contrast to Barack’s fumbled, arrogant, non-answer responses. So distraught was the left that=2 0they had to create an immediate spin that McCain had the answers before hand. Although that has totally been disproved, let’s run out that scenario and look at the idiocy of it.

First of all, you would have to be totally out of touch with reality to not think a question on abortion would be asked at a religious forum. Either get new advisors, or go into a different line of work that’s not above your pay grade. But let’s say that McCain did have knowledge that an abortion question would be asked. Advisors and handlers to politicians work diligently to make sure their candidate never answers a question directly, but handles it with obscure nuances that seem wonderful on the surface but when transcripts are read, there is no there there. If McCain’s advisors had seen that question they would have briefed him on a more eloquent answer, inste ad, he answered the question of when life begins, from his heart, when he simply said, “conception.”

So, if he had been alerted that, shock, there was going to be an abort ion question, he realized he didn’t have to spin an answer to appeal to a broad base of voters, he just had to answer it honestly and forthright, and that is what ticked the Obama people off. Heh wait, that’s not allowed . . . he didn’t do that obscure nuanced thing like our candidate does, and it gives him an unfair advantage, so we better spin it that he had the questions first. Talk about sore losers. But the real winners were not only McCain, but his base that finally saw the resolve they had been waiting for.

The second laurel wreath for McCain was the Republican platform that has in the past few election cycles, been a blood bath between the right to life group and the liberal, pro-abortion wing of the party. Always the life plank is at risk of being sawed off, and always a small remnant of determined warriors ride in to save the day. That was good news for conservatives and hope was once again in the air.

But the coup de grace, the Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, Olympic Gold for John McCain was his selection of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

I just happened to be in the Petri dish of political experimentation with almost 300 conservative leaders from around the country who were gathered for a meeting. The speaker was interrupted to pipe in the live feed of the announcement. The discussion in the group for three days before the announcement concerned who the pick would be and what the response would be if it was x, y or z. The responses varied depending upon the possible choice from, “I refuse to vote for that ticket,” to “Is it too late to form a third party?” to, my own which was, “Let’s select a write-in candidate and do a protest vote.” If you have been reading my columns, you know that is what I have been saying.

So, imagine our surprise when not only Sarah Palin was announced as McCain’s VP candidate, but that the whole room erupted in thunderous, standing ovation support. It was as though everyone in the room had a horse in the race and that collective horse made it over the finish line as the clear winner. Women were crying, men were high-fiving, everyone was hugging and celebrating because now . . . they had a ticket they could get behind, they could believe in, and they could enthusiastically support.

Those leaders represent millions of people around the country and several, including me, have since made public announcements that they have switched from an adamant position of not supporting McCain to being excited about the race.

No wonder the trash machines were in the streets within minutes to dump on Governor Palin and declare she was not experienced enough to be Vice President, but they still can’t explain why Barack is experienced enough to be President when his resume total ly pales in comparison to hers. Even though she is not running against him, they seem more concerned about=2 0her than they are about McCain and for good reason. She is young, dynamic, effective, principled and tough. Several in that group of leaders likened her to Maggie Thatcher, which of course means the liberals, the feminists, the good ol’ boys, will do everything they can to destroy her, but the harder they try, the more entrenched her base will become because we will all see this as a unified attack on us. We will take those attacks personally and fight back in a phalanx of solidarity with a woman who could be destroyed by a hypocritical machine that pretends to want women and blacks to rise to levels of leadership . . . but only if they can be manipulated and exploited by that machine.

But, let’s look at other groups that have been sitting on the sidelines trying to decide if they should vote for Barack or McCain. There are millions and millions of people in rural America who share the same values with McCain but who are slowly being seduced b y the empty idea of change. The seduction is possible because there is nothin g substantive to hold them to the concept of status quo. What the Governor Palin nomination said in words louder than empty slogans was, “If change is what you want . . . change is who we are.”

Here is a young, hockey mom, turned PTA leader, local elected official turned mayor, turned Governor who has challenged the Democrat AND Republican status quo and brought ethics back into the equation. She is a card carrying member of the NRA and member of a union, both of which will appeal to the blue collar worker who always feels dissed by the liberal elite as they cling to their guns and Bibles. Now they can vote for someone just like them.

There are more guns in America than people and more gun owners than the total number of people who usually vote in presidential elections. They own guns for many reasons and are tired of being classified as right wing nuts by the liberal elite, when ironically, many gun owners are liberals. Protecting the Second Amendment is a key issue for many Americans and it could be the deciding factor in this election.

Millions of women who are upset with the way Hillary was treated, whether or not they would vote for her, are encouraged to see a young, articulate, attractive woman be selected by a man who could have chosen anyone to be his running mate, but chose a fellow maverick, who does what is right, not was is expedient, and pays the price for such principled decisions.

With over 55% of the population strongly in the pro-life camp, and over 90% agreeing that partial birth abortion should be illegal, it is going to be much easier for McCain to rally the troops and bring it over the finish line. But he has to keep moving forward, keeping his newly reconciled base around him at all times, and not back down or be intimida ted by the tiresome tactics of the left. It is like running a race . . . don’t look back, don’t look down . . . keep looking forward, looking ahead and moving closer to the finish line and to ultimate victory.

There was an entertaining Peter Sellers movie in the late 1970s’ called Being There. It was about the rise of an unknown, simple gardener named Chance, to be the candidate for president. He fascinated the clueless elite because he spoke in such sweeping, symbolic, erudite terms . . . in their opinion. All conversations made him seem so brilliant when really he was just talking about planting, seasons, seeds, etc. The adoring crowds even misunderstood his name and thought it was Chauncey Gardener . . . when really, he was just, Chance, the gardener.

Barack Obama is this generation’s Chauncey Gardener. He rose from absolute obscurity to be the darling of the elite who hang on his every word and get chills up and down their spine when he speaks. But, when he speaks, what does he say? His depth of articulation is tantalizing, as was Chauncey’s, but when you unravel it, and analyze it, there really is no substance to it.

In the Saddleback Forum that Rick Warren hosted on Aug. 16, Barack was stripped of props, sycophantic media, and pre-prepared talking points and the world saw that all that glitters is not gold. Even on key issues of major concern for a huge segment of the electorate, like abortion, his answer rambled and meandered to an ironic dead-end when he basically said, “It was above his pay grade.” That might be one of the most intriguing self-fulfilling prophecies uttered by a presidential candidate in history. He, who has opinions about everything from the war in Iraq to off shore drilling draws a blank when it comes to killing unborn babies that are fully viable, and sidesteps the question with a condemnation of his own abilities. It suggests that he has actualized the Peter Principle and should not be further elevated to a position of incompetence, that truly would be above his pay grade serving as President.

The attraction of Barack Obama by so many is his seemingly flawless performance and smooth style which reminds people of what leaders look like when they are comfortable in their own skin . . . the way Chance the gardener was. The problem is though, if you dissect what Barack says, it is full of platitudes and motivational rhetoric. And because he is fun to listen to, no one really hears what he is saying. If you ask any Barack supporter what he has done, what bills he has passed, what qualifies him to be president, most say, he wants change and so do they. That was how Chance got so much support too, and there was never an accounting, a deeper questioning of who and what he really was, until it was too late.

At the Saddleback Forum, you could see a clear distinction between the golden boy, Barack Obama, and the grumpy old man, John McCain. The only problem was . . . Barack’s gold was flaked and thinning and McCain’s grumpiness gently morphed into a strength of character and integrity that he has not shown this entire campaign. The short, direct answers to tough questions, when taken out of context, could have been perceived as being curt or a product of grumpiness. But when placed in the context of plain questions being asked of someone who wants to lead an entire nation, the simple responses were brilliant because they signaled resolve and gravitas. There was a depth of character that resonated with each response because you knew it was his heart, not his political head, answering the questions.

Barack on the other hand seemed irritated to have to answer tough questions without the drooling media covering his every gaff. He was off his game without notes or briefing papers and seemed ill-equipped to dig deep and respond from his heart. He was well-briefed, but briefing cannot compensate for lack of substance and foundational absolutes. His flowery rhetoric and non-answer sound bites just were not cutting it, and the crowd knew it.

When the old prospectors would be mining for gold, they would find fool’s gold that glittered on the outside but was dusty and unimpressive on the inside. There was no there there. But at the same time, they would occasionally come across a nondescript, brown, round rock, that when split open, would reveal a nest of crystallized gemstones. That is the new distinction that is slowly emerging as the dust settles around both candidates. Conservatives who in the past wrung their hands in frustration at the election choices, got a glimpse at the inside of McCain’s rough and blemished rock and saw the beauty of resolve, the sparkle of integrity and the refracted reflection of a man who has communed in the suffering of Christ.

How interesting that the choices in this election cycle should so wonderfully parallel not only the choices we have in life, but who we are as a nation. We have the glittery elite who foolishly believe the world revolves around them and we have the vast majority of Americans who quietly chip their lives out of granite blocks of humility, hard work, loyalty and perseverance. The outside of their existence might not look as exciting and glamorous as those who worship at the alter of appearance and fame, but their hearts are made of gold. Their hearts weep at the idea of an unborn child being ripped from its mother’s womb and they are vilified for this compassion.

When John McCain said that the time a human being should be given human rights equal to the rest of us was at conception, he separated himself from a legion of individuals who cringe at the idea of touching the sacred third rail of domestic politics . . . abortion. But what they don’t realize is that the numbers are on his side. There have been over 40 million abortions performed since 1972 which means that is about 80 million men and women who have been impacted by that choice. Add to that would-be grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and friends, and you will see that every single person in this country has lost a friend or a relative to the ravages of abortion. But to speak out against this holocaust is a sacrilege to those who cower in the corners of political correctness while courage takes a stand.

John McCain might not glitter like the golden boy Barack Obama, but his substance and integrity are undeniable. The movie Being There, ends without us knowing if Chance wins the election or not, but it was clear, there was a point of sobriety that hit those who knew there was no there there and to elect him would be a disaster for the nation. Conservatives can prevent this disaster, by looking in the heart of the rock and making the right choice that could save lives.
